Christopher David Ryan (aka CDR) creates the things he'd like to see in the world.
Over two decades of work spans illustration, brand identity, art direction, and design — with clients ranging from Google and The New York Times to Dunkin' and Victoria's Secret. He has led creative teams at Grove Collaborative, Nuts.com, and PINK, and his personal work reaches audiences across print, digital, and product.
His art is bold, colorful, and minimal — made to stop you, then stay with you. The BIG HUGS series is probably his most recognized work, but the through-line across everything is the same: simplicity with something to say.
CDR works from his studio on commissions, licensing, and select creative direction projects.
